Week 9 - Project 52

While out walking I found some roses.  I actually didn't know they were roses, I thought they were pretty, and I was like "hmm theses will be good to photography for macro week". While picking them, it was then I realised they were roses... damn thorns.

Well had a play around with lighting and with a spray bottle (to get the droplets).

Project 365 - Days 243-271 - September 2010

Post the images monthly is a lot easier for me than doing it daily/weekly.

I've also decided that I will continue with my project in 2011 but it wont be a 365 day project. Don't get me wrong I love photography and I love what I do, but some of my days are seriously dud photo's, photo's that are boring dull and of nothing. So it will be a 52 week project, with 52 outstanding images. Ok well that's the plan.

So here are the images for September

Day 150 - 31st May 2010

We were walking from the gym going towards the supermarket. This plant was growing over a fence. I have no idea what it is, but I thought it was pretty.

Day 104 - 16th Apr 2010

I must write down the name of this plant the next time I'm at my mother in law's house. I just love it! I love the texture, the colour, how it grows, it's just one funky plant.

Day 81 - 24th Mar 2010

This bush seems to get photographed a lot. It is the same bush (line) that I took the other day (day 71).

It makes for a good photo that's why.

Day 72 - 15th Mar 2010

I had the kids in the double pram and we were walking to the leisure centre for play gym. On the way to the play gym is this house, that I just love. The owners look after this house so well. It's well maintained, the garden is just extraordinary. This plant is in their garden. I have no idea what it is, but I like the shape of it.

I was going to post another image of Miles, but I just couldn't quite work out the processing to the way I liked it, so I figured I'll just choose another image.

Day 71 - 14th Mar 2010

The kitchen window faces east. So we always get this beautiful light coming through the window into the kitchen.

I was washing the dishes admiring the leaves of the plant out of the window, and how it looked good against the blue sky.

So I dried my hands and got the camera out and put the tammy (macro lens) on. Captured this shot.

Day 35 - 4th Feb 2010

It has been raining all day. And considering it has been raining can't really go outside. Didn't want to use the flash. Instead I got the tripod out and went to the front/back of the house (the real front of the house) and took some photo's of the plants. Well mainly the water droplets. I still have focusing issues with the macro, but it's just a matter of practice.
