Week 9 - Project 52

While out walking I found some roses.  I actually didn't know they were roses, I thought they were pretty, and I was like "hmm theses will be good to photography for macro week". While picking them, it was then I realised they were roses... damn thorns.

Well had a play around with lighting and with a spray bottle (to get the droplets).

Week 8 - Project 52

Week 8 is self portrait week.

I know I have mentioned this before but I need a remote, doing self portraits are a pain.

Also tested out a new action, and I have to say i like how it turned out.

Week 7 - Project 52

This image serves a couple of purpose.

1. future photographer in the making
2. testing out custom white balance with an 18% gray card
3. testing out the new white backdrop

Oh and it has just occurred to me that this is the 1st landscape image i've taken for this project. All my other images have been portrait way.

Kayla taking a photo of me while I take  photo of her.  If you want to see her image, let me know and I'll post that too.

The white backdrop has come out sort of grey, but I like it. And I'm also loving the gray card, now that I know how to use it.

Week 5 - Project 52

While down in Melbourne at my parents new house, we found this playground close to their new home. Wow this playground is cool, but not really designed with under 5's in mind.
The slides are huge (I even went down one, and it was so much fun, but scary!)

This is Kayla going down one of the slights. I really like the composition of it. I have it more of a vintage processing (as it had a vintage feel to it anyway).

Thank goodness for fake flooring, was the best $20 I ever spent!

Mothers Group Session

On Friday 21st Jan I had a mothers group session. It was 5 mums and 6 kids. It was big, and it took a while, but it was loads of fun.
I took around 200 shots in a space of 90 minutes. The editing took the longest. But the kids were at their dads for the weekend, so I got all my editing done in 1 day! Which was awesome, I was on a roll with the editing. I just couldn't stop cause I was in love with the images and how they turned out.

Here is a sneak peak of some from the day.

Even though it was a hot day, I really loved the light and colour of these images. Needless to say this location is a winner and I will be shooting there again.

I was fooling around with the left over hundreds and thousands. I think I might try it with a black background rather than white. I'm not too sure if I like it.
Anyway week 4 was Macro

I prefer the bonus image instead.

Miles you make me laugh. But what is not to love about my lil boy.
