Road Trip - 30.12.09

Our destination for the day was Scarborough Beach. Sorry no fair there, but it would have been cool if there was a fair.

I chose this destination as it was on my list of must see parks.

The playground is very cool, it's pirate orientated! I mean it is next to the beach, so of course that makes sense. There is play equipment to cater for all ages. What I love is they have allowed for try climbing! So if your child likes to climb trees, then climb the climb friendly trees.

The water was a beautiful temperature however rocky, lots of rocks, so not so good on your feet. Either way we all had a good time.

Road Trip - 29.12.09

Kayla was so excited to be going on a train trip. She loves to train spot, so for her to go on a train, well you can guess how excited she was.

On the train, just look at that happy face.

We were heading to South Bank, Brisbane. They have a free, yes free!, Water play park and beach. It's called Aquativity. It really does cater for all ages. Kayla loved it, as did Miles. It was busy the day that we went, it was hot, but it was also overcast. Didn't rain while we were there though.

Road Trip - 28.12.09

I had contacted my friend Mon when I got into Brisbane. I know Mon from a mums forum that I visit. She is a great person and her kids are wonderful too.

It took about 50 minutes to drive there, thank goodness for the gps that's for sure.

Kayla and Miles had a ball.

Kayla got on so well with Jordarna, they were so cute together.

They had loads of fun with a cardboard box. Priceless!

Learning Curve

Well I have had a great time the last few days. I have learned some fantastic techniques in photoshop to really make images pop, but it helps to get it right in the camera first.

So here are some of my new creations.

Day 19 - 19th Jan 2010

Went to the Cato park playground again today. Met some mums and their kids. Captured this image of Miles. Again not looking through the view finder.
He has cookie around his mouth. I could have cleaned that up in photoshop but I figured he is 1 he is bound to have some type of dirt on him, especially since he puts anything and everything in his mouth.

Day 18 - 18th Jan 2010

One of Kayla's Christmas presents was a sand pit. Not the clam/shell ones, but one that has a stand and an umbrella!

I set it up after we got back from our holiday, but I only just got sand yesterday! Sand only cost me $4 and omg did Kayla and Miles have a ball with it! What is great about this particular brand of sandpit is that it has 2 sections, one for water and one for sand. In saying that. There is NOW sand and water in both sections.

So Day 18's image is one of Kayla playing with the sandpit.

Only did minor editing in photoshop, just to clean up the colours and contrast.

I should advice that this week I'm doing a theme. That theme is 50mm. So my all my photo's this week are set at 50mm with my lens.

Day 17 - 17th Jan 2010

The image that I've chosen is one taken with my new lens. It's by no means perfect. I mean I cut off her nose. But I just adore the detail of the eye, so that's why it's a winner in my eye.



I should note that I wasn't looking through the view finder at the time. If I had, I may not caught the image, but then it may have made the difference
