Road Trip - 21.12.09

We left the Gooligowi Motor Inn at about 8am in the morning. The trip was a bit more interesting than it was from Swan Hill to Hay. At least there was scrubs and tree's and stock to look at.

We had a pit stop in West Wyalong.

I thought Kayla would want a play in the playground but in fact she wasn't interested. After giving the parents a call to let them know where we were (as we had no reception in Gooligowi), we headed off.

View from the car in between West Wyalong and Forbes.

Our next pit stop was Forbes. Quite a nice little town, and omg I got service at a service station, that never happens now a days.

We went to woolies and got some salad's and went to "Victoria Park" and had our picnic lunch. Miles was just happy to get out of the car and have a crawl around.
It was a nice park, and well maintained.

As we were leaving Forbes, we couldn't help but have a laugh with this sign. So I guess it's the entrance for all the bogans then.

After Lunch we headed back on the road.

Both kids were dead to the world by the time we got to the "Dish" So we did a drive by and took some photo's. Entrance is free, it would have been interesting to go in and have a look around, but no point waking up the kiddies.

So we continued onto Dubbo.

Once we got to Dubbo we had a play and an icecream at Macca's. Kayla didn't want to leave, but the Macca's playground isn't really Miles friendly. So we put in the gps playground, and I picked a random one. On the way there, Kayla see's the water park and she is all "I go there!", so we went there instead.
We put the kids in their swimmers (i had no towel, but I did have a cloth nappy flat) and they had a ball. Kayla didn't want to leave. And Miles well he loved playing with the water and trying to drink it. He is one funny kid.

So if you are ever in Dubbo go to Eton Park. Great water play park which is free.

So after a good hour of water play we got back into the car and continued driving. We had planned to get to Moree, but it would have been 10pm by the time we got there, so we decided to stop for the night in Narrabri.
